Spring has sprung up here. Finished the dash as it was in the summer of 1956. Got the headlights in using step-down Hudson buckets. Found a neat Blue rattle can paint close to the original paint job to paint the 1935 wire wheels. 1939 LaSalle bumper guards look like what was on it at the Fall race in 1956. Can't post pics :mrgreen: Bill Gates is still screwin with my programs.

Been assembling a floor shift 3 speed for the G2. Got lots of junk boxes for parts. The 1935 case takes the 41 to 48 gears. I have not done one for about 25 years - seems like I forgot more than I once knew. Glad I have a couple others built up to look at and clear the brain farts. Also glad I saved the junkers - now new parts cost over $700 and ain't genuine FORD. :mrgreen:

Have had some interesting research results in the last few days. It was raced on August 18 and 19 1956 at Arcata in Northern CA. There were 8 races on Sunday. The Steers Glasspar was in the over 1500 novice race. In a race for under 1500cc production cars, Wm. 'Pete' Snell was killed. 6 months later the Snell Memorial Foundation was founded. To this day it has set the standards for racing helmets. That is what the Snell Rating in your crash helmet is all about.
